Many people have already signed on the fireman training of the Jokioinen Museum Railway in April, but there are still some free places available. After working as a fireman there is a possibility to continue training to become a steam locomotive driver.

The theory and practical course will take two weekends at Minkiö. The first part of the course will start on Sunday the 19.4. at 9.00. The fireman exam will be held after the second part of the course. After the the exam the participants will give a practical fireman demonstration on later date to be agreed.

You need to be at least 16 years old to enroll. The literature for the course is Mikko Ivalo's "Höyryveturit ja niiden hoito" (Steam locomotives and their service).

You can sign on for the training by sending a message to Mr Jussi Tepponen latest on the 15.4. The teacher will be by Mr PTJ Koskinen with help of Olli Savela and Pekka Vuoristo.
